Iced Tea Month
Iced tea may have been created for the first time 100 years ago or possibly as long as 114 years ago. The Tea Association of the United States indicates that Iced Tea was first made at the 1904 World's Fair in St Louis Missouri. However one of the history pages for Southwest Missouri State University has evidence that shows that iced tea was being enjoyed in the south in 1890. Well before the World's Fair. Iced tea, it seems, may just have become widely popular at the World's Fair. Whatever the historical background of iced tea is it's a beverage enjoyed by a good portion of the population especially in the summertime. This month celebrate the warm weather with some refreshing iced tea activities. June 10 is Iced Tea Day, why not have an iced tea party for Nursing Assistant's Day which is also June 10? Have the group host the Nursing Assistants for the party. Celebrate iced tea month any day. Read some of the Stash Tea Quotes (Quotes) and the Wit's End Tea Quotes (Quotes) to the group. Ask them to suggest their own quotes for tea. Post them around the room. Take a look at the Tea Test (Test)and try some of the questions with your group. Then have the group try doing an art activity from Drawing On The Past.
